What are the health risks of my use of smokeless tabacco every so often?

June 1st, 2009
lax982 asked:

I dip about once every other day, if not once every 3 days. What are the health risk if I rotate where I put the lip in my mouth along with the amount I use it. Seeing that most frequent users dip 2-3 times a day, I feel that the health risks associated with them don’t complelely apply to my use.

How do I break into the mental health field?

June 1st, 2009
Katie K asked:

I am a 22 year old college grad with a BS in psychology and a concentration in criminal justice. I really want to pursue a career in counseling, but I know I have to go to graduate school first. In the mean time, I’d like to get some experience in the mental health, or even just health care field. What are some reliable options for getting my foot in the door of the health care field?

What kind of health problems can occur dealing with a sleeping pattern change?

May 28th, 2009
kohlkeizuh asked:

Over the past few weeks I usually stay up between 5-7:30 AM and sleep till around 3 or 4 PM. Even being active during the day, eating healthy and so on, my body still* responds in this same pattern. The thing is, I enjoy sleeping this way because I am a night person. I am 23, this isn’t the first time this has happened. I am wondering if there are health problems that I could gain from sleeping like this.

How can a person switch health plans when they are sick?

May 26th, 2009
evoke25 asked:

Please help! My uncle, who is in his fifties and has kidney problems (stones) and other issues, has doctors who **** because he is forced to stay with his crappy health plan. I won’t name it, but his doctors are indifferent and haven’t helped him and he can’t afford to see another doctor. He also is discouraged and is too upset to haggle with insurance people, so he just allows himself to suffer.

So, I want to help. What can he do to eventually switch plans (legally) when he has been with one for so long and is currently sick? Every insurance carrier will not take a new customer if that person is sick (pre-existing condition clause) so a sick person is effectiively screwed. He has nothing terminal and does not have diabetes.

Please! If there are any insiders who wish to earn some good karma and relieve the pain of someone who has given up, now would be a great time!

How do Obama and Clinton’s health care plans differ?

May 24th, 2009

I am trying to decide which of the two candidates I support, and health care coverage is a key issure for me. However, it seems that both plans are very similar. Can anyone tell me (in a non-biased way) the main differences?

Why don’t more candidates come up with ideas for health care plans?

May 23rd, 2009
#2 in the oven asked:

I have not decided who I will vote for, but I do appreciate that Clinton is trying to provide health care for most Americans. Why are other candidates bashing and not coming up with their own plans? Is it too unrealistic to think that we can pay billions for anything Iraq wants, but we can’t address our own healthcare?
I do ask why we can pay for war and not healthcare. I would rather my tax money go for American healthcare than Iraqui healthcare. As I understand it the US Government’s war fund not only covers our soldiers (not very well-having limited supplies until news shows cover this) but also rebuilding Iraqui infrastructure including religious buildings, health facilities and schools. I just think we should try to take care of our own.
